Pharma Wholesale · Saudi Arabia
A regional pharma wholesaler
A pharmaceutical wholesaler achieved batch-and-expiry traceability and ZATCA-compliant invoicing across two regions
The challenge
A pharmaceutical wholesaler supplying pharmacies and clinics across two Saudi regions faced two pressures at once: strict batch and expiry traceability requirements, and the move to ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing. Their existing system tracked stock at warehouse level only, with no batch granularity, making recalls slow and risky. Invoicing was not in the cleared, cryptographically stamped format ZATCA mandates, exposing them to compliance penalties.
The solution
DistroOps was deployed with bin-level and batch-and-expiry tracking across both regional warehouses, giving full lot traceability from receipt to dispatch. The Saudi localization layer handles 15% VAT and ZATCA Phase 2 cleared-invoice generation with the required cryptographic stamping. Cycle-count workflows replaced the annual stock-take, surfacing discrepancies in days. Cold-chain-sensitive lines carry temperature-excursion flags.
"Traceability and ZATCA compliance were non-negotiable for us. Getting both from one system — with batch-level visibility we never had before — took the regulatory risk off the table."
